What is the deal amount?
Deal amount is the total value of an IPO. It is calculated as:
Deal amount = Shares offered × Offer price
This number may include both newly issued shares and shares sold by existing investors, depending on information disclosed by the company.
If the necessary data is not available at the time, the deal amount will remain empty.
Why is it important?
The deal amount shows how much money the IPO raises, making it one of the key indicators of the offering’s size and the significance of the event. It helps users quickly compare different IPOs and understand the scale of the transaction.
