Capital expenditures, total represent funds used by a company to acquire, upgrade and maintain physical assets such as property, plant and equipment.
They are the sum of Capital Expenditures - Fixed Assets and Capital Expenditures - Other Assets.
What does CapEx per share show?
CapEx per share shows how much capital expenditure is allocated per share. It can highlight how aggressively a company is investing in future growth or maintaining existing infrastructure. High CapEx per share may suggest expansion, but could also pressure cash flow.
