What is Depreciation/Depletion?
Depreciation/Depletion represents the depreciation charges for the period against tangible assets reported as a non-cash adjustment to reconcile net income to cash flows, which are derived from a company’s operations.
It includes:
- Depletion of natural resources;
- Depreciation of Exploration and Evaluation assets for Extractive industries;
- Depreciation of investment properties; and
- Accretion expenses from asset retirement obligations.
